Monday, July 24th Food Journal

These posts are more for me to keep track on myself. I had a slight headache from sugar/caffeine detox and went to bed at 9pm last night because of it. I did not work out, but since I’ve put my body in such a high state of stress by my eating habits, I detoxed some of the negative energy  by snuggling with my kids.

Hours in Bed: 8 hours/10 mins.        Total Sleep Time: 7 hours/38 mins

Breakfast – 32 oz. lukewarm lemon water 8:30am: 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 egg white muffins, Trader Joe’s Unsweetened oatmeal with cinnamon, 1 English cucumber

*hunger/boredom around 10:15am

Snack – 11:30am 2% Fage plain greek yogurt, 1C fresh black berries, ginger tumeric tea

Lunch – 2:10pm Salad with 1tbsp  Opa ranch dressing, 1/4C curried rice, 3 oz. curried chicken breast, pomegranate seltzer water

Snack – 4:15pm Sliced turkey and 1 lite swiss babybel

Dinner – 6:00pm Trader Joe’s Multi-grain vegetable lasagna, 3 Al Fresco caramelized onion chicken meat balls, pomegranate seltzer water

Calories:1558 Protein: 130g Carbs: 159g Fiber: 23g Sugar: 39g Fat: 46g

Another Day One

Accountability for the average.

If this blog were a movie, it starts in the middle. That’s where I hope I am. Slowly, I will unravel and reveal my past. Slowly, I will seek to re-shape a better future. To summarize, I spent 2 years losing 60 pounds and toning my body, only to gain 40 pounds back and struggle to stop from gaining more. This resulted in a see-saw effect.

I’ve been losing and gaining 10-15 pounds for the past 2 years and it is exhausting. So, I’m combining my love of writing with my desire to connect with others who may enjoy what insight I have to offer.

Today is another day. It’s a fresh start – another day one.
